GENERO: "Japón" es, de entrada, un mero título figurativo que de alguna manera le recuerda a Reygadas el ánimo de su filme, ubicado en algún lugar de Hidalgo, en la provincia mexicana, donde dos son los protagonistas, tan opuestos entre sí que en su encuentro logran el sincretismo deseado por el realizador: un cincuentón ansioso de suicidarse que proviene de la populosa Ciudad de México (interpretado por Alejandro Ferretis) y una septuagenaria viuda (encarnada por la magistral Magdalena Flores) forjada por y en la naturaleza. 423 MB
